Flarey you really need to add this one to your list. It's not really even a mecha anime yes it has some giant robo maddness but it also has Sousuke Sagara and Kaname Chidori school life love craziness. If you really don't like mecha type anime then watch Full Metal Panic Fumoffu you wont see a single giant robo in the whole thing since it's all about school life craziness.
