Change an event in history

I heard this on the radio a long time ago if you could go back in time and change an event in history what would it be?

A lot of people didn't really know what to pick they mostly pick killing Hitler from starting world war 2.

Me the event I would like to change is save the lives of Gaius Julius Caesar, President Abraham Lincoln and President John F Kennedy because I would like to see what would happen if these men were never killed.

The problem with this idea (though I agree it's interesting) is that you learn more lessons when things go WRONG. Even horrible things like Hitler, Nukes dropping and 9/11 served to provide the dark examples of what CAN happen if things get out of control... and to remind us that the world does not exist in isolation.

I honestly think Flarey's comment about fixing the economic crisis earlier on would probably have been the most effective over all... IF you could pull it off. We're in trouble now due to the short-sightedness of a few decades ago, and all we're "learning" now is what a small number of people have been warning about for a long time. If the economic crisis hadn't occurred because the mistakes weren't made and/or people listened and fixed it early, it would have settled into place as a lesson about what works, instead of as a lesson of what DOESNT work like we have now.

Speaking personally, I would have liked to have been able to give my younger self some advice... and maybe a few choice companies to buy bits of, product ideas, lottery numbers, etc :) If trying to change the world ultimately causes worse problems, just do smaller-scale things and come out happier in the end :)

I mean we have had Saturday morning cartoons made for this untold video games most of them have sucked some major duckynut's , six crap movies one CGI movie that turned out to be a big lie just to get you to watch the crap CGI show that he has coming out based on the crappy CGI movie that was a lie. Without getting into a rant, I'd say that if you were to off him RIGHT after the original trilogy ended, most of that wouldn't have happened. The originals were iconic of the times, and inspired a lot of other creativity - admittedly, some rather low quality. But I wouldn't like to find out what would not have come to pass if the Death Star had never existed, or Lightsabres... etc.

The events I always wonder about is what would happen if the Japanese during world war 2 were able to win the Battle of Iwo jima would we see the raising of the red sun flag on that mountain instead of the America flag.

What would happen if the American help Napoleon Bonaparte win his campaign would Europe be under his control.

Not to diminish its impact, but it can also be the ultimate example of how something that makes perfect sense at the time... just DOESNT. Only, there is no later to calm down and realize how little sense it actually made.

I believe that most suicides are the result of intense, bitter emotion, even if it is not outwardly visible. And that more often than not, what people really need is someone to just be 'there' - to talk, to listen, to comfort, to otherwise fill a void that needs filling. I've met a lot of people online who have that problem... it's really kind of sad.
