Personally i find it disturbing and flat out annoying that hollywood has latched on to anime the same way theyve done with japanese horror films, and started making crappy americanised remakes... what are you thoughts on it? are you eager to see your favourite characters in live action movies, or are you somewhat upset (like i am) that great anime characters and stories are getting an american 'spin' on them, all in the name of quick cash?

so far the only one ive LIKED was speed racer, i thought it was brilliant.. the story and dialogue needed work... that kid and his monkey needed shooting... but the material was treated with respect and visually it was awesome... fun as hell film too... but dbz? ghost in the shell? bebop? akira? ugh.. i think theyre going to be horrible.

im a james cameron fan though, so i can WAIT to see what he does with battle angel, i think hes also a man that'll do the source material justice.

no.... not Battle Angel. that was the first manga I read and probably the thing that got me into the whole anime/manga/hentai scene. now they're going to rape it too?

I have not seen any live action films, the reason being the fact that I DON'T WANT to see any. Movies are movies and anime is anime, don't mix the two, it doesn't work, for me at least

well like i said, its james cameron, so im willing to give him a chance... hes consistantly made very good 'complete' movies (characters, stories, dialogue, action, etc...).. yeah, HIM ill give a chance.
