seems that many people here have some interesting usernames, *cough 2hip* and i thought that this would be a nice place for people to share the story of their nickname/username or some sort of name you are called ^_^

i suppose i can start things up here...

my nickname in life is not shinichi... for one, but instead its "mano" this started on a internet game i got hooked into called tibia, anyways, i started making a character and everytime i met someone new, they would say "br?" this meant they were asking you if you were from brazil or not... and if you answered no they would kill you. Yea i know... nice people huh =P but i met a guy there who called me his "mano" and i was confused at first caus i knew what mano meant in spanish... im going on about him saying why am i your hand???
turns out mano means brother in portugese, or so he told me, so the name stuck, thats why im mano ^_^

Mantha is actually the first name of a roleplaying character I have. Mantha Darok, I don't use him much, but I always enjoy the character and name, so I figured I should bring two of my enjoyments together as one.

Its a Nickname I got since well I am 6 foot 4 and work out like crazy. I don't know why I use it as a screen name since I hate being called Bigman.

Sheut is roughly translated as shadow in ancient egyptian. Unlike shadows in western mythology, egyptian shadows were said to be a seperate entity from the individual and that we couldn't exist without one just as they couldn't exist without us. I chose it simply because alot of people think im crazy, and everytime someone says as such, i tend to tell them that without crazy people you would never know you were sane. It all goes back to duality, sort of like the far-east ying-yang. That and the fact im obsessed with Ancient Egyptian culture and religion.

I was given the nick "too hip" by my troops. While stationed in So. Cal, back in 80's. Cause part of it, has to do with my last name. And the DJ working the afternoon slot. On a very popular radio station, which was always on in our shop. Used to sign off with the phrase, "Too hip, gotta go". On some forums i go by Toohop, toohipmj, or 2hip. But mostly, i go by 2Hip.

well my nickname how i came up with it was i was thinking of the manga samurai deeper kyo and the name kyo hasn't been used before and the number 45 i thought it goes good with it. Well I got the name Lavender Skies from a friend telling me that each color means a emotion, and that Lavender itself ment depression. At the time I was a Hikikomori / NEET. I was also in a fit of deep depression and anxiety. I thought of the sky as being endless for I truely saw no end in sight... So I thought the named suited me at the time. It's been years since then and I still use it as my handle even though my situation has changed.

Daeryn Riven was one of the first 'tabletop' (actually IRC) RP characters I ever created, and certainly one of the characters I put the most work into developing. The world creator and I had a lot of fun hashing out his feats and faults, and along the way putting together additional bits about the world for us to keep going with. Sadly, he was also overly ambitious about how many people could take part, and as such we only got to play a handful of sessions when everyone could make it... eventually it all just fell apart.

I can give you a brief on his character concept if you REALLY want, but that'd be going into probably more detail than anyone was asking here :)
