Do any of you guys have a favorite anime opening you guys love? I got a few but this one is one of my favorites mine.

Well I must say that I love Neon Genesis Evangelion's startup theme. It's damn too bloody awesome, it gives me this nice neat "warm" chill on my back, as my hair rises up in the air. I love Neon Genesis Evangelion most of all Anime too. It was the first Anime I ever watched... or wait, no I remember I watched an Anime with a Dog named Silver when I was little, that was cool :D Have not seen that in years. Any idea of what the name of that series is?

Aww well.. I went into a store I never been in. I was about 11 Years old. I had a Store-Card with 300 Norwegian Kroner (thats like 58 US Dollars). I was kinda off, for I had no clue of what to shop. I was on my way out when I could feel sumthing behind me.. I turned swiftly and saw it! Straight forward she was, standing there, waving at me. Rei Ayanami. A Beauty of another world, I was stunned. I stood there for hours it seemed. Then I went closer. Neon Genesis Evangelion said the cover in blue, And Rei was now looking to her right, but her left hand up waving at me, with a red background. I bought the VHS. And hurried back home to watch as the 5th Angel: Ramiel, came to attack N.E.R.V. HQ Directly. Awwww that was niiiiice, Yeah!

I went to buy the rest ofthe series next day. But they had changed all the VHS with DVDs. :( I had no DVD player, and could not find the rest of it anyways.

Like two years later I finally found the DVDs I missed, for now I had the DVD player, and so I bought all the DVDs which was like 9, and each cost as much as 58 US Dollars, Yes I know, pretty expensive. But Worth it!

One of my favorite anime openings is the Haruhi series. Boken Desho Desho is also one of my favorite anime songs. It is just so upbeat and catchy. ^_^

I would have to give it to a few shows actually. Tenchi Universe has one of my all time intros as well as Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig and Outlaw Star. All have high energy and do a great job of introducing you to the characters, no to mention that they all have some really hot animation going on in them.

the series you're looking for is called Ginga Nagareboshi Gin AKA Silver Fang. I saw it too as a kid for the first time and I still think it is one of the best anime I've ever seen.

I usually imagine that the favorite here is relative to the favorite show one has. Seems to be that way for me, it's close between the first dragon ball z opener and the cowboy bebop opener. I guess I will go with the cowboy bebop one.

Seconding that. I looove maximum the hormone. I remember watching that for the first time and my jaw dropped, really wasn't expecting it.

Thirding (fourthing?) Evangelion. It's got a nice amount of mecha cheese going on. Also, Martian Successor Nadesico had a great intro while also parodying the mecha genre (at least I think it was, maybe they intended the intro to be serious). Great show too.

i love the appleseed intro .. with the basement jaxx music and flying over olympus..

but the actual opening to appleseed ex machina gets me going EVERY time! the whole opening ction scene where they take down the bots in the cathedral is amazing! especially when deunan is hanging upside down and briareos jumps through the window screaming crazy funny one liners like hellboy! lol

It's a tie between DBGT's "Dan Dan" and One Piece's 1st opening theme song "We Are".

DBGT as an anime series was kinda of a let-down but the opening theme song was just perfect.One Piece's "We Are" fits the whole adventure mood & spirit right from the start.....and was the perfect follow up to the whole Gol D. Roger intro thingy.
