With the new surge of people on the board following the change of rules, there has been a lot more participation. I am quite happy at this, and I applaud most of you for bringing new life to our online home.
However, at the same time, there are some members who are merely trying to reach the necessary post count. I do not blame you, but please try to keep the board clean and organized.
As I was approving moderated posts today, I noticed that many of them contain only one or two words, and they do not have any substance or content. These posts almost always say only, "Thanks," "Good," "I agree," or some form of these comments. More often than not, the posts are replying to threads that have been inactive for several months, if not years.
These actions cause old or dead threads to resurface, when the original posters and members have already departed for a long time. Some of these threads contain information that has long been outdated, such as old rules. This creates unnecessary confusion among other members, and it makes the entire forum very disorganized.
In order to become an unmoderated member of the board, DM has already stated that at least 10 of the 30 required posts must be contributions. Personally, I do not mind the contributions, but what I do ask for is that people make quality posts, instead of only thinking of quantity.
I appreciate the increased activity on the board, but please try to keep our home clean, organized, and free of unnecessary and empty comments.
