View Full Version : How to change BITMAP into JPEG

Step by Step

1. Find a picture that you want to upload.
2. Right click on the picture.
3. Scroll through the pull down menu and click on "Save Picture As..."
4. Type in a title.
5. Click save.
6. Bring up the start menu and click computer.
7. Go to picture.
8. Find the picture you want to change.
9. Right click on it.
10. Scroll through the pulldown menu and put the curser over "Open With".
11. Click "Paint".
12. Click "file" in the upper left corner.
13. Scroll through the pull down menu and click "Save as..."
14. Click on the pull down task bar titled "Save As Type"
15. Click JPEG from the pull down menu.
16. Click "Save"
17. Then you will have 2 of the same picture, one will be BITMAP and the other will be JPEG.
18. Delete the BITMAP.
19. Then simply upload the pic as nomal.

If you have Adobe Photoshop, and you wish to preserve the image quality, then you can simply go to Files and Save As. After choosing the JPEG format, there will be a message asking you to choose the quality of the image you wish to save, from 1 to 12. Keep in mind that the higher quality the picture, the larger the size. Usually, a quality of 10 is good enough.

This is the free tool/program i use to resize images. It also changes various formats to jpg. I gaunentee it is safe, and is quite easy to use with just a little expereince.
