Does anybody have a favorite Japanese words you guys like? I like the words

Hentai and Ecchi = pervert (Ecchi may mean more than one thing like naughty or sexy)

Kun and chan = This is used to describe someone that's still young offten used by kids and they used it at the end of someone name example Rin chan or Ikuto kun

Baka = I get confused about this word it holds different meaning but I always think it mean idiot. (I could be wrong)

Desu= I like the sound of this word at the end of every sentences it just sounds cute to me the meaning it hard to explain.

Debu = Fatso (My uncle and I call each other this example Debu I wanted to see you Debu)

Gokigenyou - It is just another way saying hello or good day, but it is rather formal and is most often used by girls to greet other girls.

Onee-sama - A respectful way of saying older sister.

I actually do say these two phrases on a regular basis, especially towards some of my friends who I look up to.

Another phrase I say often recently, but has no meaning is Nyuu~

IIA

Desu

A Japanese copula, or word used to grammatically link a subject and predicate. I.E.: It is a Japanese verb.

Desu can have other meaning outside of just linking a subject and predicate depending upon the context in which it is used. For example: そうですね。(Sou desu ne); Means That's right, isn't it?

the main use of desu

Flarey

It sounds similar to Kami, meaning God.

Kaisatsuguchi

I cannot for the love of cake remember what the word is in english but its a hole in a wall where you buy tickets for stuff.

Animelab.com gave me "(n) ticket barrier (gate) / wicket" which sound really weird.

@ titan: its spelled O tsu PA I which becomes oppai just like TE tsu SA I GA becomes tessaiga

Appearently people seem to ignore that the tsu is lower case, or just ignore it completely.

*sigh* No one pays any attention to the little tsu... poor guy...

the simplest way to explain desu is that it is Japanese's "is"

desu is dropped from practical speech among peers and inferiors... but its a nice word. Not my favorite...

uchuusen is my favorite.

it's spaceship...!

ching ching I'm not sure but is that how you say dick in Japanese I heard this in some hentai games I played and in an episode of Lucky star where everyone was talking in class and Tsukasa was talking about a dogs and she said ching ching she doesn't know what it means. Then everyone felt unconformable and they were too embarrassed to tell her what it means.

Speaking of "stinking" drunk. That reminds me of the time i was so wasted. I could not help but take a dive into the main binjoe ditch. Outside of the main gate at Iwa Kuni. Binjoe may not be the correct spelling. But i spelled it the way it sounds. Anyone know what kind of ditch that is? hehehehehe If you do. Then you know why i used the word "stinking".

Masaka. I just like saying that whenever something totally unbelievable has happened. :p Naturally, friends and family ignore it as more of my "language fancy" stuff. I'm a linguistics student at the moment, and Japanese is one of my favorites.

I also like n'da, chikushou, aho, dame, and a few select others I bandy about in my normal everyday language, lol.

It's nice to have a place to discuss them without fear of being called a weeaboo... I generally don't discuss these things online because apparently, learning the japanese language when you're a white American female makes you some kind of weeaboo freakface. xD Never mind the fact that I'm dual learning Spanish as well... Yeesh. :p
