I've seen this in a couple of animations I've found. I too have been searching the name of this series. All I have that's (I'm assuming) the same artist are these. Although I have been searching it as a CG set. Since you've identified it as a movie you've narrowed down my search field.

It was from an online gallery I found. It was in a folder with other assorted animations. Those are the only ones similar.

almost forgot, i found a rar and torrent file on the material, and it would seem that it was used in the DivX. Im gonna see if i can find any leads.

Awesome find. I did kinda figure it was done by an independent individual/group since it wasn't in any mainstream artist search. xD
